CRESCENT TAIL WRASSE

They are the Moon Wrasses or Crescent tail Wrasse, ironic cos they are Diurnal. They are Carnivorous and feeds on small seafloor dwellers. They are also protogynous Hermaphrodites, born female that eventually becomes male in mere 10 days. They have harems of mixed females and males and you can easily spot the Alpha Male by, you guessed it, the alpha being the most gorgeous with brightest colors that changes from green to blue at low tide, making him most prominent and most loved.

They are cousins to Parrot fishes, they are the wrasses. This one found loitering by the bubbles area of Mainit bubbles is cute bubbly and makulit, kissing my mask, reminds me of my equally makulit cat Luna. I just learned it’s cos they have strong eyesight and can catch a scent quite well. Hides well too under the rocks, in between rocks, will dig out a rock, cos what these fishes have is an active character and a pretty aggressive one too. Territorial, a chaser and a nipper, like a terrier or a poodle.
