DUSKY NEMBROTHA
The variable neon slug, the dusky Nembrotha or the Nembrotha kubaryana is easily distinguishable from its red orange foot. It is a dark bodied nudi with green stripes and or raised spots very similar to Nembrotha Cristata well except for the foot. Can grow as big as 120mm or 4 inches, they feed on green tunicates or sea squirts as you can see in the background. To defend itself, they have ascidian toxins, the green tunicate or sea slug toxin, stored in their tissues and released when threatened.
